Junsu's 2nd Ballad & Orchestra Concert Day 2 [2013.12.31]

Highlights of the Concert
-Junsu's voice is always amazing. Even if he covers a song that I don't know, he makes me FEEL that song. He's brilliant at conveying emotion through his voice.
-I appreciate that he sang "Mirror" which is Rudolph's song from Elisabeth. That's my favorite song and makes me cry everytime. He conveyed the emotion well, but without the emotional buildup of the entire musical to that song, it was really out of place. It was hard for me to connect with his performance bc he did it right after Last Dance. Because of this and even though I know the background of that song, his performance just seemed overly dramatic.
-I love that he not only sang Mozart, but different Mozart songs from the previous Ballad & Orchestra concert. I know that he's talked about how much he loves Mozart, but when he sings those songs, you can feel how much of a personal regard he has for that musical. 
-11 am is always perfect. No one breathes when he sings that song
-I liked the acoustic Incredible performance. I thought the arrangement was excellent and just a good idea. Perfect.

This was the New Year concert for Junsu's Ballad & Orchestra Con. It started at 10pm. I guess I'm not used to going to concerts so late. But anyway, I was late. I got there 10 minutes before the start of the concert. There were a bunch of other girls who were late with me on the train, so I didn't feel alone. Haha~ We all ran from the subway station to the venue.
The staff were yelling at us to go inside, but concerts usually start late anyway and I wanted to take pics of the venue and all the banners.
Junsu Papa was also outside taking pics of the banners with his cellphone.

TVXQ Time Slip Concert at SMTown Week

Overall impressions/highlights of the concert:
-The concert on the 26th. You could feel them having so much fun and you definitely got the sense that this concert was a present to & celebration with the fans.
-THE BOYS WERE RIDICULOUS on the 26th. I really missed that from them! I know that it was so stressful coming back as two-- more than I can imagine. But I really missed the silly from HoMin.
Well, in Korea. They showed more silly/funny sides of themselves in Japan. But, in Korea everything was a little bit more serious.
And they definitely gave it to us on the 26th. There was so much interaction with the fans and just genuine enjoyment of the moment.
-Boys ran EVERYWHERE. So energetic. Those boys ran that entire stage 1000 times. Jumping, sliding, dancing, running... they didn't stop.  
-LOVED the solos. Especially Yunho's. It was stuck in my head for days. I really hope it's released either on a live concert album or actually recorded. It's so freaking cute.
-For Mideoyo, the fans didn't know what to do for the fanchant. So some fans did the original fanchant with just the names. Of course they only did Jung Yunho & Shim Changmin.

Some fans did the O concert version. "We will wait Jung Yunho!" and "We will wait Shim Changmin!"

-Concert fan event with the cake. SO SWEET AND AMAZING AND WONDERFUL. Definitely cried more than a little.
-CM was sooooooo adorable. He gave no cares. Did aegyo. Gave so much to the fans-- hearts, pointing, blowing kisses, silly dances. I mean he did his solo as a white centaur--- need I say more?
-During the ments, normally YH's silly & CM teases him, but this time CM was SILLY. Even without YH. They were silly together. 
-Concert on 27th. More traditional ments. I think this was the night they recorded for the dvd, so the ments were more generic.
-Boys really went all out. The dances were so sharp
-CM was sooooo sweet to YH throughout the concert. On the 26th, YH sounded teary and couldn't finish his lyrics in one of the songs. So CM ran ahead so that he could look back at YHs face to see if he was crying. And then CM instigated the hug at the end of the concert on the 27th.
-An amazing concert

FANACCOUNT:
I guess I will start by saying that when SM announced "SMTown Week," I was pretty pissed.
At that point, we weren't sure whether or not the boys were going to come out with an album since nothing had been announced at the fanmeeting. So, it seemed liked the anniversary concert might be all we were getting for the 10th anniversary.
Therefore, I was expecting TVXQ Week as opposed to SMTown Week. I wanted a whole week of jubilee. But instead got SMTown. >.<
Don't get me wrong. I don't have anything against SMTown, but I wanted to focus on my boys.
Also, the concert venue was in ILSAN at Kintex. Couldn't they have it at Olympic Park like normal? With awesome seats as opposed to constructed stands that shake so hard when fans are jumping that you fear their collapse?

Needless to say, when the album was announced, I was feeling a lot better towards SM. Also, the reason they had it at Kintex was so that they could set up an SMTown exhibition hall. So, I understand the decision, but I still would have preferred Olympic Park.

CONCERT DAY
I get to the venue around 10 am. The concert wasn't until 8pm, but the exhibition hall was opening at 10:30 am. There were only 100+ people waiting, which is a relatively small crowd. SM were only about 10 minutes late opening the doors, so kudos. Well done.
I was shocked at how efficient the goods line was! There were about 20 ppl in line and it took them 15 minutes to push us through the goods line. AMAZING. They must have been taking notes about how goods tents are run at Japanese concerts. Well organized.

After that, I walked around taking pictures of the exhibition hall.
