Okay. I wanted to write this fan account in a blog format so that I am able to explain everything that happened fully. Instead of one particular tweet being retweeted out of context.
I would start off by saying that the boys are EXHAUSTED. They've had early morning prerecs that have lasted anywhere from 1 ~ 2 hours this entire comeback weekend. Also, this dance is INTENSE. The more I see it, the more I realize how technically difficult it is.
Plus for MuCore yesterday, not only did they do a prerec, but they also did a postrec. And they weren't able to catch up on sleep because they had to be AT Inki by 3 am for makeup and possibly sound check.
So, the boys are tired and stressed. =(
This prerec took 8 takes and last an hour. It was also the worst experience I've ever had at a music show.
The day started off normally enough. We came on time for 1st check in at 3:30 am, then had our official numbers, and we thought that we were going to go into the studio really soon. No. Everyone stood out in the cold for about 1 hr and a half waiting for SBS. Most likely because they were still building or were having problems with the set. It was freezing and the fans were getting more and more frustrated.
I mean, normally when something like this happens, they will let us leave and tell us to come back at a certain time. But we had to stand there while the SM and SBS staff discussed it.
We were standing in line for so long, the SM fan staff eventually made a line for people who wanted to go the bathroom.
But FINALLY, we were let in.
The set was really gorgeous. It looked like a golden & white hall. It had a wheel of fortune and double stairs. The dancers wore black leather overalls with a white shirt.
The boys were so sexy-- black pinstripe suits, white shirts, and black ties. Changmin wore a pinstripe vest and pants. Red kerchief on his arm.
Yunho wore a 3-piece suit, white kerchief in pocket, and a black cuff on his arms with silver chains.
The boys and dancers organized the cards. CM then walked around humming and YH sang a bit.
Before the 1st take, Yunho had us clap for the camera staff.
Then a screen came down with a gold TVXQ sign on it. The screen came down all the way to the floor. So it essentially created a box out of the set.
At first we thought that the screen was only for the intro or the first couple of takes, but the screen was down for the majority of time. Only the last take was without the screen. Take 1~7 were full run throughs or scenes where the screen would go up and down. So sometimes we could see and sometimes we couldn't. The fans were very vocal with their displeasure.
SBS didn't think this all the way through from the fan's perspective. Inkigayo typically always has the coolest, elaborate sets. So they wanted to do something cool for TVXQs comeback weekend, but they didn't realize how it would effect the fans. Because everyone waited to see the boys, but couldn't see them do most of the recording. Only a small number of fans who got into side standing were able see the boys from the side of the set where there was a plastic window.
During the filming, they prob realized how limiting the screen actually was-- it was a good concept, but the reality just made everyone's job harder.
Through the filming of the music show, the staff got a sense that the set was not a good for the fans. So, they complimented us and told us that we were doing a good job cheering. One of the cameraman was filming through the window so that the sitting section could see what was happening inside the set on the monitors.
Yunho and Changmin were also having a difficult time. They did many long one takes and they were dripping with sweat and breathing hard. A whole bunch of coordis came on stage to fan them and wipe away their sweat after most takes.
The boys had a long discussion with Jaewon about the camera position during their partner dance scene. Yunho and Changmin both insisted that the camera should be in the center and move from Changmin to Yunho, but Jaewon didn't agree. I couldn't hear what he said back to Yunho, but he kept shaking his head in the negative. Everyone was stressed and tense.
When the screen came back up on one of the takes, Yunho and Changmin were disagreeing over CMs move to get out of the camera frame. So Yunho asked Changmin to practice it again with Jaewon. At first, Changmin shook his head but then he ended up doing it. Then Yunho wasn't paying attention to his practice with Jaewon, so Changmin went over to Yunho, tapped his shoulder, and said "Watch". Jaewon and Yunho didn't seem to get what he wanted, so he walked away to another part of the stage and back, frustrated.
After take 7, Yunho all the sudden said, "Bathroom. I'm going to the bathroom." The fans kind of chuckled a bit because it was so unexpected. When Yunho came back, he showed how annoyed/frustrated he was about the situation to the PD. His voice was raised and his frustration was so clear in his eyes, voice, and body language. Then we all realized that he said that he was going to the bathroom to leave and calm down. He seemed frustrated with the difficulty of the shoot due to the set, but he was also angry on the fan's behalf. That the set was preventing the fans from seeing them and the boys from seeing us. And maybe like us, they thought it would only be a few takes, as opposed to the entire prerec.
Im sure Yunho got angry because it involved the fans. He gets angry when things happen to others (especially fans) and lost his patience because its something that could have been avoided if SBS just thought about it a little more.
He walked away from the PD breathing deeply and you could tell he was agitated. A coordi noona rushed in to massage Yunho's back to get him to relax, another came to fix his hair, and Jaewon & a few SBS staffers came and patted his shoulders. When he sat on the table and got into position for the next take, he looked embarrassed that he lost his cool and you could also tell how sorry he was to us about the situation.
We all screamed FIGHTING! and Yunho responded with a slight smile and said, "Aja, aja, fighting!"
Take 8 was a full run through without the screen down so it was the first time that day that we were able to see the whole performance. PD called ok!
I'm pretty convinced that take 8 wasn't actually a take or filmed. It was just to make sure that the fans saw one performance from them before they left.
Changmin and Yunho bowed and shook hands with the camera staff. Bowed to us and said thank you. But after bowing and waving to us, they quickly went backstage. You could tell how frustrated they were and how sorry EVERYONE was about the situation.
SBS staff felt sorry to the fans and HoMin, the boys felt sorry for us, we felt sorry for the boys... just no one came out happy at the end of that prerec.
But then to make it up to us, the boys signed the bottom of coffee cups to give to the fans. Awww~~~ these boys. They are the best. They think so much about us.
After watching the live, I realized that they had the screen
there so that the sitting audience wouldn't be in the shot when they did
the one take following the boys in the choreo. That's prob why the boys
were having so many tense discussions about where the camera should be
to film them. They were trying to find a way to put the camera somewhere
so they could film the one shot and still let the audience see them
without the screen. ;_;
Why is the editing and camera work so sloppy on the broadcast perf? A few memorable, cute things happened.
The SBS staff asked the boys to tell the side standing sections to wave their balloons during the filming. Yunho just got side standing excited so that they'd wave their balloons. Changmin, on the other hand, went into a long explanation on how they'll be on camera so it'll be good if they wave their balloons. Changmin even got down on his knees, begging.Yunho smiled and snickered. What a cutie!
The camera kept doing really hot close ups of the boys on standby for take 8. We screamed hard core several times before the boys seemed to figure out that they were on the monitors. Then Changmin flicked the cards in his hand over so we could see the top picture. It was his hat picture from mirotic era. ^^
Jaewon stood behind the camera man for every take and put his hand on his back to move him toward the boys in the right direction.
During his solo trumpet scene, Changmin was so cute. He shaded his eyes with his hands while looking into the camera, another time he saluted.^^

*Im now officially on board with this song. I like it. A LOT. It took

*TVXQ prerec was 12 takes plus
3~4 mini rehearsal run-throughs and a little more than 90 minutes.
The set was a white & black paneled walls with poker cards. Black

back of the stage. We screamed and YH his head back and lifted 1 hand

stretched by twisting his waist and lifting his legs. At MuBank, Shim
Jaewon was there and acted as the PD for the boys' prerec. He came on
stage and hugged the boys. I thought he just came to watch but he was

*1st take was the boys sitting on the
poker table doing the beginning of the song and into the individ
choreo sections. After the 1st take, YH had us clap for the camera
operator. The entire prerec was shot by this 1 cameraman w a handheld

*When YH asked us to clap for the
cameraman, they both stood up from the table & CM even bowed a
little. These boys...
*During take 1, when YH stood &
danced on the table, everyone lost their minds. When YH was on the
table, CM was further up the stage & watched YHs perf. After a

*The
boys truly enjoy this song. Even when the filming stopped, the song
contd to play & the boys wld sing along, dance, or groove to the
beat.
*For take 2, they moved the 2 LED screens together. It had the
boys pics in playing cards. YH was clubs & CM was diamonds.

*Take 2 was the 1st chorus into the next individ
choreo sections. CM made a mistake in his staging so the camera cldnt
cut to him properly. Take 4 was a repeat of take 3. Jaewon gave CM
his mark and it was a good take. CM went off stage to drink water.

strong. SM staff reminded us to be loud. Take 4 YH was back on stage
with the b&w checkered bckgrnd. He did the part with the 3 girls.

After YHs solo take it was CMs turn. YH went to the front stage to
watch but noticd the cameraman was close edge & put his hand on
his back. Then we screamed & YH turned at smiled at us. *.*

trumpets. In the mv it was only 2 girls, but in the perf all 6 girls
did the choreo. Then YH talked to us. About the cool camera work &
how everyone is working hard then said smthng about Changmin (prob
about his effort)

the fans in the studio. In that soft, confident, caring way of his...
Then h asked us if we like 수리수리

6 was the 2nd chorus~end. Bc of the tricky cam work, CM & dancers
hd to run off the front of the stg, behind th camera & comback on
stg. Sometimes the dancers bumped into each other or almost bump into
CM just bc everyone was rushing to make their mark. CM laughed to
himself about the situation and said what looked like "Seriously?!"

*This began the many long discussions the
boys, Jaewon, & the cameraman had about stage & camera
positions. Took at least 30 min.
*CM did a cute two-hand wand waving motion to 1 of the dancers.

*Then they did a mini-rehearsal with Jaewon. He held his arm out
so tha the boys could visualize the camera. CM was very shiny with

*Another mini rehearsal of
2nd chorus to the end & discussion w Jaewon. Then another mini
rehearsal. When CM does the kiss to the camera, YH has to run behind
the camera & come up on the other side back in frame.
*1 more rehearsal with Jaewon. Jaewon sang 수리수리
softly while the boys went thru the moves & we did the

*CM had to run around
the camera again and laughed at himself. I think that 1 of CMs most
charming qualities.
*After the final rehearsal run, CM went off stage & had 3 diff
coordis wipe his sweat off. YH had 3 diff coordis fanning him. Then
CM looked in a hand mirror before goibg back on stage. WTF Changmin?

*Then the boys wen back
on stage. YH sang a lyric to warm up then CM did the same. They
switched back & forth a few times. YH ended it with the most
perfect, breathy, high pitched "baby~~." Everyone went
ooooh. CM then laughed in that low, husky laugh of his. We cldnt hear

*Take 7 was
the beginning scene & 1st verse again. This time the boys threw
cards in the air. Before Take 7, YH thanked us for patience while
they work out th camera work. CM made a cute vocal exercise sound. We
screamed FIGHTING! and CM pumped his fist in the air. Then we waved
our balloons back. In Take 7, CM did the cute bunny ears motion with

*Even tho take was cut, the track
kept playing. YH expressively sang along to the rest of the song.
While waiting, CM danced little bits.
*Take 8 was the 1st chorus into the next individ sections. CM made
a mistake. The cameraman told CM what to do & CM apologized &
bowed a little. Then Jaewon came & stage to talk with the boys a
bit. Then patted YHs butt. Later he patted the small of CMs back ^^

*Take 9 was the
solo sections again. CM had cards this time. After the take, YH sang
the rest of th song again. Take 10 was another one of YH with the 3
girls. CM was off stage monitoring the perf #140228MuBank

11 was another one of CM with the girls & trumpets. YH took his
turn off stage monitoring the perf. Then Jaewon came on stage &
wanted CM to show the card to the camera. CM seemed embarrassed for

*YH had such an
awesome expression when he did the part with the 3 girls. Hope its
broadcast. CMs dancing was FIERCE in take 11. He OWNS that dance.

*Take 12 (last!) was a run through from 2nd
chorus to the end.
*Then boys both waved at us & thanked us for coming. Then
CHANGMIN asked us to applaud the camera staff's hard work. The
security guards started to kick us out of the studio but CM stepped
forward & interrupted the guards so we could clap for the cam
staff.
*Both the boys continued to wave while heading down the stairs off
stage. Only 20 Cassies could get into live. I was # 44 so I knew I
had a very small chance of getting in so I just headed home. All the
Cassies left the studio going "Woah!" and "Daebak"
and "Best! Seriously the best." #140228MuBank
This was the best way to end the Something promotions. Everyone was happy, the boys were able to finish the prerecording quickly and now everyone is looking forward to their repackage promotions. =D

➭SITTING! @yoonhwo and I are finally sitting. YES!!!!! SO HAPPY. This is our first time sitting at Inki.
➭ Prerec took 30 minutes-- 3 full run throughs and 1 extra take for just the rope ending.
➭ Boys looked so HOT wearing a gray suit with blue checkered lines with blue silk tie & kerchief in jacket pocket.
➭ The background was really cool & changed thru the perf. Gold led
TVXQ signs, Tense coins, coat of arms saying TVXQ 10TH ANNIV, etc.
➭ Yunho told us the 1st take was a "dry rehearsal" but then the PD
talked to him & Yunho told us there wasn't going to be a rehearsal..
➭ The boys looked really happy today ^____^ I think their conditions
still weren't 100% but they enjoyed their final Something perf.
➭ Changmin grunted when he got into place for the 1st take then stretched his legs during the standby..
➭ Take 1 was almost perfect. Yunho stumbled a little when he sat down but he wasn't even in the shot so it was still perfect.
➭ Boys were even in the perfect position at the end. After, Yunho asked
the dancer who was having trouble holding the ropes yesterday if he was
ok ^__^
➭ After the 1st take, a male fan yelled out "you're handsome!" Then Yunho said thank you.
➭ PD then made a pun and instead of saying 동방신기 he said Last Broadcast Shin Ki. Cassies did not like that...
➭ Before the 2nd take, PD said that Yunho practiced hard on his birthday so we all said Happy Birthday to Yunho....
➭ Yunho said that he heard that there were fans from Egypt here. Fans
pointed to her & talked to her for bit. Dancers had to pull Yunho
into position.
➭ Take 2 had a few mistakes in it. Changmin's feet got momentarily tangled into the ropes before he sat in the chair.
➭ During standby before the 3rd take, a dancer came on stage strutted
over to Yunho throwing fake punches. After, they clasped hands briefly.
CUTE!
➭ Before the 3rd take, the boys & dancers did a group fighting on stage. TVXQ FIGHTING! We said fighting together.
➭ Take 3. When Changmin flipped the rope after Yunho's puppet dance, it hit one of the dancers hats..
➭ Before Changmin's solo, Changmin rubbed his hands together on the 2nd take. He shook his finger during 3rd take.
➭CM was sweating a lot during his solo dance in the 3rd take
➭ Before the rope ending, when Yunho said Hey! Hey! he brushed his shoulder with swag. ^^
➭ Changmin wasn't in the right position. He was leaning a little to the
right so the ropes couldn't support him well & braced himself w/ a
hand on stage.
➭ Because the ending was NG, the PD wanted 1 more take of just the
ending. Boys couldn't go backstage, so female dancers brought them
tissues to wipe sweat.
➭ Yunho was sniffling during the standby. Poor sick bb... still happy & smiley..
➭ Take 4 was just the ending and went well. PD said okay.
➭ Both boys double hand waved. Then Yunho was talking to the fans. Then PD hugged him and carried him off stage.
Ah~ 11:40 and 350+ Cassies are still waiting outside. At least the wind has died down.

Boys were already doing the camera rehearsal while fans still coming

➭The prerec. was 1 rehearsal + 2 full run throughs. It took less than 30 minutes.
➭During the rehearsal, it looked like the ropes weren't taut on 1 side
so Yunho fell forward a little but held himself up with 1 hand..
➭Yunho greeted us & asked us to wait. When he came back he said
"Everybody!" We said "Yes?!" Yunho "Yes~ that's right" What? Haha~
➭In the beginning of take 1, Changmin's foot got caught in the ropes
when they were lifted up into the bass strings. He quickly lifted his
foot out..
➭When the girls change outfits on stage, the blonde girl threw her hat to the side & broke 2 light bulbs on the set.
➭During Changmin's solo dance, Yunho clapped his hands to the beat.
➭The pyrotechnics were so strong! They went up really high. It looked like they surprised the boys. Changmin took a step back.
➭Boys were breathing really hard at the end. Yunho looked like he wanted
to say something to the fans but just headed backstage..
➭Take 2. Pyrotechnics were still really strong. Sparks fell down onto the blonde hair guy who helps with the ropes.
➭There was a long break between take 1 & 2 because MBC staff had to replace the lightbulbs & clean up the broken glass.
➭Yunho & Changmin quickly double hand waved. Yunho told us to go
home safely & thanked us for the 3 wins. Changmin said see you at
the fansign as he walked off stage.

thumbs up & laughed. He seemed surprise by our support.

Then he said "Ah. Are any of my fans here?!" Then Clouds stood up ^^
Cassies screamed 동방신기 are waiting the wings offstage. But PD belatedly
called 1 more take for Rain. 'Something' perf. is almost here!
➭Yunho on stage first. Side hugged Rain when he walked on stage. Rain slightly bowed to him & said sorry for the extra take.
➭Prerec. of 동방신기 lasted about 50 minutes and took 21 takes.
➭Yunho wore a white suit w/ black lapels. White bow tie, Red cumberbund, 3 sparkly cross pins on his right chest.
➭Changmin also wore white suit but w/ black bow tie, Black cumberbund, Red kerchief, Gold & red pin.
➭Changmin was stretching his legs on stage. He did a squat &
stretched out 1 leg then the other. He also grabbed his foot &
pulled it up behind him.
➭Throughout the entire prerec. Yunho would sing bits of Something. Really cute & we screamed a lot when he did ^^
➭The boys were in such a good mood. They were so smiley, teasing/playful
with dancers & each other, & talked a lot w/ the fans.
➭Yunho greeted us and talked about gwiyomi. We then demanded that he do gwiyomi. He kept shaking his head saying no..
➭Yunho said that he can't do that but then gave in & did the 1+1 pose with the most adorable smile. :))
➭I was in the Yunho fan section and everyone DIED when he did gwiyomi. Girls fell onto each other...
➭Yunho asked us to applaud for the MBC camera staff for their hard work.
Most takes were closeups filmed by a camera man on stage.
➭1st take was Changmin's part in the boxing ring without ropes. Cut
early. Yunho had conference with PD while Changmin practiced the
choreo..
➭Yunho then asked us which song off the album we like. He then listed
songs & for every song everyone said that they liked it.
➭Yunho then said that we like everything and we told him that we liked all the songs in the album.
➭The 4th take was cut early & Changmin gave a big sigh..
➭5th take they actually went through Changmin's part instead of cutting early...
➭6th take was the 1st boxing ring take w/ the ropes in front. 7th take
went all the way thru Changmin's part & PD said okay 4 that part.
➭More singing from Yunho between takes. ^^
➭Takes 8~10 were of Yunho's hop dance down the middle of the stage.
➭When Yunho was getting into position for take 8, the PD said something 2
him & Yunho said yes, gave an ok sign, & smiled beautifully.:)
➭After the 10th take, Yunho asked us how many fans came. The girl next to me said 600. Then Yunho said ohhh~ & nodded.
➭Takes 11~12 r of Changmin's singing part & going into Yunho's rope puppet dance.
➭Yunho always has the best expression when he puts the mic rope behind his neck and step dances back. I die everytime.
➭The boys went backstage to get water & have sweat wiped away & makeup retouched.
➭When the boys came back, a lot of fans in standing waved at them. Yunho nodded & smiled back.:))
➭ When Yunho was walking backstage, the music was playing & Yunho sang "FLY BABY" when that part came.
➭Takes 13~16 are of the last chorus into the ending with ropes.
➭In take 13, the ropes were a little high on Changmin's waist. After the take he rubbed his stomach where the ropes had been.
➭Take 14, Changmin's waist ropes were lower but shoes were sliding back a
little. I thought he was going to fall. Thankfully not. ^^
➭15th take cut early.
➭In Take 16, Yunho winked when he sang the last line at the end. ^.-
➭Yunho then had a talk with the PD. Doing the beginning elbow shot next.
➭Yunho started to walk backstge when we screamed at him. He then turned to us & asked What? ...just cuz ur hot oppa~
➭After take 16, Yunho told us to cheer and support 농방신기's hoobaes. ;_; Almost everyone is your hoobae, bb~
➭Before take 17, Changmin was going over the choreography with one of the dancers
➭Take 17 was the whisper beginning with ropes. Took just 1 take. When PD said it was good, Changmin happily said ok! :D
➭We screamed after take 17 and Yunho went sshhh! like in the song. ^^
➭Takes 18~19 were the playing strings part in the beginning. Yunho still
sang the beginning part even though he wasn't being filmed.
➭After the 18th take, Changmin walked over to the PD & asked if they had to do one more take. PD said yes.
➭19th take was good. Boys went backstage for water & have sweat wiped.
➭Yunho came back on stage and sang "Something~♪" We screamed & Yunho laughed like "Heh, heh, heh." ^^
➭When Changmin came back on stage there were a lot of people shouting
his name. Yunho then imitated them in a high tone. "Changmin~!"
➭Changmin kept his head down the first time but when Yunho did it again, Changmin laughed.
➭Take 20 was almost a full performance. They played the song from the
beginning but didn't actually start filming til the 1st chorus.
➭The boys had so much fun during this take and gave us really cute expressions.
➭Even though they didn't film the beginning part before the first perf. the boys still sang along and did some cute actions.
➭Changmin pointed at Yunho when Yunho did his solo dance & smiled at the end of his solo.
➭When Yunho sang the last line, he pointed at his head & had an extremely sexy smirk on his face.
➭Yunho almost fell forward at the end, but the dancers held onto the ropes tighter to keep him from falling.
➭After, Changmin went over to check on Yunho. It seemed like he asked him what happened. ^^
➭Take 21 was the same as take 20. A run through starting from the first chorus.
➭In the beginning parts, the boys did a little choreo even tho they
weren't being filmed. Yunho even did the Watch out! w/ a finger over his
lips.
➭They were so cute & smiley during the non-filmed parts even tho
they seemed tired. Yunho pumped his fist in the air in time w/ our
"Hey's!"
➭Changmin ruffled his hair during Yunho's solo. ^^
➭When the PD called an end to the prerec., Yunho sighed &
semi-shouted "Thanks for your hard work". Many bows to staff. Changmin
also clapped & bowed.
➭Boys both double hand waved to every section of the audience. Twice. :))
➭Even Changmin took his time waving to us. Both said thank you.^^
➭Boys were in such a good mood today. Seemed to genuinely enjoy
themselves during take 20~21. The standing fans definitely felt that
energy. We were dancing and singing along to the whole song.
➭Yunho was also very interactive with the fans. Changmin just laughed & nodded at us. But Yunho chatted with us.
➭Now fans are waiting til after the live to have a post rec. Which is a prerec. for next week's show #1
Lined up at Inkigayo. Was 80 for check in → moved to 75. Then was 74 for SM staff check in. ^^
Wah~ side standing for Inkigayo! On the right side. Unfortunately behind a machine of some sort. But can still see over ^.^
TVXQ! prerec lasted 1 hour with 5 takes total : 3 full run throughs
and 2 cut takes. The set had hanging gold hexagons, flourescent signs on
the background screen & a lit up Something sign. Dancers wearing
tall grey hats with dark blue jackets and blue pinstripe pants. TVXQ!
outfits were so sexy. They wore black pants, black shirt, but YUNHO had a
gold waistcoat & CHANGMIN wore a short gold jacket.
YUNHO said, “Oh the first snow has fallen”.. then laughed and followed on “Ah, it’s not the first snow…”
Rehearsal was first. They had red glowing mics. It was really
interesting to see the profile of the dancers & performance. After
every take, the ropes have to be straightened & reorganized. Dancers
flicked them like reins & bent down like riding a horse. One of the
dancers broke into a tap dance & Fans all screamed for him. He was
encouraged & he jumped in the middle of the stage. TVXQ! looked
really tired today. When they were on standby, they looked a little
dazed & exhausted.
YUNHO came back on stage and waved to the right
side of the stage. Then YUNHO had a really cute smile on his face when
he walked over to our side. @yoonhwo said over here to Yunho & he waved at her first~ ^^ Then YH waved & pointed at me & said "TV 나왔어요" "You came out on TV yesterday" Me:ADHSHVCGJXD Ne~
YUNHO ACKNOWLEDGED ME... HOW DO I LIFE???? T____T @yoonhwo SARAH AND I HAD GOOD YUNHO MOMENTS TODAY AND OUR BIAS OMG
YUNHO then got the mic & told fans not
to take pictures & to give a round of applause to the SBS staff for
all their hard work. YUNHO said “If people are caught by the broadcast
staff taking photographs etc, it is possible that the broadcast staff
may reduce the number of tickets given out to the fans by half.
Everybody went through trouble to come here and although I don’t know
how the system works (of who gets to watch and who doesn’t), let’s
protect all Cassiopeia. Please don’t take photos here, there are many
other places to take photos” and asked the fans to give a round of
applause to the people who had worked hard.
★ Before the 1st take, YUNHO told the dancers that his shoes / floor
was very slippery so to pull the ropes tightly so he wouldnt fall. There
was a long standby for the 1st take that CHANGMIN got up to stretch his
legs & YUNHO rolled his neck. Take 1 was a full run thru. CHANGMIN
sang “Neon naegen aju jogeum mojara” very well & jazzy. Ruffled his
hair after. So cute! During the takes gold & silver confetti would
rain down from the solo dance til the end. That rope was very dangerous.
It gets whipped around all over the stage. It was accidentally wrapped
and girl dancers neck at 1 pt. After the first take, TVXQ! were
exhausted. CHANGMIN immediately went backstage. YUNHO followed but his
walk was a little unsteady. The dancers were even more exhausted tho.
Sat on the stage with jackets off using their hats to fan themselves.
★ Before the 2nd take, only the dancers were on stage. The blonde
dancer was dancing around really cutely. TVXQ! came back for take 2. It
was cut in the first 15 secs.
★ The 3rd take was cut early after 1 minute. YUNHO spoke too low but
think that YUNHO told the dancers to make intro arm movements sharper
& in time with the beats. After the 3rd take was cut, YUNHO had a
very unhappy look on his face.
★ 4th take was a full run thru. Everyone really put all their energy
into that take. CHANGMIN power charged up the middle. In take 4, they
used pyrotechnics when YUNHO said 1,2,3. End of take 4, 1 dancer had
trouble holding the rope because he was so tired. His hands were
shaking. His face was dripping with sweat.
★ Before the 5th take, YUNHO came out waving to our side first, then
made sure to wave to every section of audience. This man…what happened
but YUNHO grabbed his arm with a pained expression on his face. Did he
bump into the set? Went backstage again. While TVXQ! were backstage, 2
dancers did the Catch Me intro dance with the fist pump. Sooo cute!!!
YUNHO came back out with the blonde dancer, their arms around each
others shoulders. While on standby for the 5th take, CHANGMIN all of the
sudden headed bckstge. Fans “eh~” & CHANGMIN held his hands up,
palms out like “wait a minute” We “eh~” again because we had no idea
what was going on & CHANGMIN held his hands out again silently
asking us to wait.
At the end of take 5, the ropes weren’t tight enough
so when CHANGMIN leaned forward he fell down really hard. It looked like
he landed on his arms or elbow. He immediately rolled up and sat on the
stage with his knees bent. The dancers & PD immediately went over
to him. CHANGMIN looked like he was still processing the fall, maybe
wasn’t sure if he was hurt. He seemed fine though when he got up, just
embarrassed. The fans were all asking if he was okay. but CHANGMIN said
“I’m OK”. The PD gave YUNHO a mic, but he immediately passed it to
CHANGMIN.
I thought it was just going to be a ment to talk with us & tell us
that he was okay, but CHANGMIN just said that we’re finished with
prerec. Then CHANGMIN passed the mic to YUNHO & he said “Good job /
good work today!”
★ TVXQ! left the stage with arms around SBS staff & both seemed
to be okay. CHANGMIN was smiling a little when he left the stage.

When YH did the 1 in the countdown, he put it across his lips. We screamed

CM so cute. He said "I just want to thank you for the last te--" then the nusic cut out. Haha~ he had the cutest smile
On CMs close up the camera was blocking his way down the stairs. So
he had to slide around & rush to his mark. He & aud laughed

then looked up w wide eyes & pointed at us like who saw that
PD gave the okay so the prerec finished. YH honestly looked so genuinely happy to be done

CM then pretty much said the same thing he said last night. That he was thankful for our love & support

Prerec was Saturday night after Music Core. It was at the other SBS studio near Digital Media City.
Boys finally arrived at Inkigayo. We are lined up outside but
the building is made out of glass so we had a good view of our boys
walking in
We screamed and started waving. CM looked up first and waved back and smiled.
YH was talking on the phone so didnt notice us at first. But then looked over, smiled and waved.
I was worried that the boys would be exhausted after the gruelung prerec today. But they looked happy and in good spirits. ^___^
On our way into studio foe Inkigayo prerec! ^^
Wow~ the inkigayo stage is elaborate & awesome. Looks like a club on the Las Vegas strip
I love the inkigayo pd. He always interacts the best with the fans. ^^
Have the best seat. Its off to the side but its just past standing section & mounted cameras so I hv a clear view
SBS prerec for Something took 9 takes and 3 hours
YH wore a black tuxedo jacket, black bowtie & white/black
checkered pants. CM wore a grey/black pattern suit w a black bowtie
YH started by askung if we were okay. He thanked us for our continued support from the SMTown Week concert to the music shows
YH said that gor this stage they were going to focus more on dancing. YH beat around the bush then CM butt in and said LIP. SYNC
YH passed the mic to CM who talked about EXO & Yoo Young Jin who came to see their prerec
The PD amnounced a rehearsal first & YH said that it was only a rehearsal so they wont go full out
The rehearsal was cut early by the PD and YH apologized to us but said that it means we hv more time together
YH asked us who went to the concert & everyone ofc raised their hand. He then said Oh~ all if you? Did u hv fun? YES~~~
He then talked about this being the first time they tried a big band concept and talked a bit about that
Then YH walked down the steps to go backstage but stumbled a little over his feet.
When the boys came back, YH gave an ok sign to us & we awwed
While on standby for the 1st take, CM picked something off the back of a dancer's pant leg
Then CM realized we were screaming at him & pointed to himself.
Laughed at us for screaming at him. Such a genuinely happy smile
Then YH talked more about TVXQ and SMTown Week concerts. He rocked side to side very cutely while talking
We then asked him to do Santa Rev. We kept saying show us & he said DONT WANT TO very cutely.
We continued to ask him to show us but he just tilted his head up & kept shaking it no. Why so cute??
YH started to say smthing else when the PD said it was time to start & YH said "Ah... yes" CM was so happy.
CM came off the steps pumping his fists & saying "Yes!" several times. Thumbs up for the PD in Shim Changmin's book
Standby for 2nd take, the boys were in position kneeling behind the
dancers. CM then said Sorry I hv to stretch my legs. Said Im sorry.
Then CM stood up to put some feeling back in his legs. YH moved out to the side to stretch as well

The 2nd take was so perfect! The boys put so much sharpness in their
movements & expressions. They were fierce & adorable
CM had so much attitude & fire when he sauntered up the middle & also in his solo dance.

shoes. Then PD came & did it for him. CM laughed so hard

At the end of Take 4, YH noticed that the crotch in his pants split. Fans also pointed it out to him. He went backstage to get them fixed
CM stayed on the stage with the dancers for a bit before following YH backstage

It took a while for YH to get his pants fixed. Most Cassies dozed off. Nice Cassie next to me gave me a candy for a sugar boost
Then the boys were back for take 5. Yh led a "DBSK Fighting!" chant with
the dancers. PD then said standby & dont rip your pants~
Take 5 was great. During CMs solo, YH watched him, nodding w a "Woah~ you go CM!" expression. Maybe thats a part of YHs perf, but its the first time I noticed it. ^^
Boys went backstage again.
CM came back to stage for 6th take, 1 of the dancers galloped past w
arms raised. CM looked up & smiled like "Oh no you didnt~"
When they were on standby for 6th take, CM was talking & laughing w the dancers
When the PD said standby for the 6th take, the front dancer jumped into placed. We screamed. He then did it 2~3 more times
Take 6 was for close up shots. CM got right up into the lens during his first part. Hope they use this shot for YHs hop dance
YH had such a sexy arrogant look on his face when he passed his mic off to the girl dancer at the end
For take 6, the dancers really went all out. They poured out so much energy and sharpness in this take
Everyone was exhausted after take 6. Two of the dancers immediately stretched out to rest on the stage.
At the beginning if take 7, it looked like YH asked the PD how many more takes. He said 2 more takes
When YH told the dancers there would be 2 more takes, they didnt look happy. I think everyone was hoping for only one more
When boys came back for take 8, they lifted the lights so they could see us. YH double hand waved to us for several long moments
Take 8 was filming a special intro scene with just YH. The camera operator was explaining the shot sequence to him
The camera operator even let YH use the camera for a minute.
CM looked extremely happy to not be filming the extra scene. They left
YH all alone on the stage to shoot the special scene. Aww~
Take 9 was for shots taken by a handheld camera operated by a camera man who moved around the stage with them
The boys looked so relieved & clapped when the PD said the shoot was over.
YH asked us to thank all the SBS staff. We gave them a big round of
applause. YH said thanks to the fans for all their support today
CM thanked us for waiting and being with them today. He was thankful to us. Also said to give the album lots of love/support
CM ended it with their typical broadcast ending "This has been DBSK. Thank you!" Then did We are... T!!!

I was so relieved to see their happy expressions when they left the studio. Bet theyre glad that this stressful day is over ^^
I will start by saying this is the longest recording I’ve ever been to. And apparently, the longest in SBS Inkigayo history? 대~박!
After an 8pm check on Tuesday night followed by a 6:30 am check and an 8:30 am check, I was the 68th person of the carded members.
After the 8:30 am check, the official fan staff passed out mini-posters, a stamp card, and the fan chant. Around 9:30 am, the fan staff announces that everyone above 150 can go and come back at 12:30. That only the first 150 are getting into the prerecording for the intro, which was supposed to start at 10 am.
However, we sat in line waiting from the green light from someone inside. We didn’t end up going inside the building until 11 am and weren’t actually allowed in the studio until 11:25. While we were standing in line to go into the studio, HoMin came through the stairwell and everyone freaked out. Once the fan staff calmed everybody again, we entered the studio. INTRO (23 takes+)
The set looked like a futuristic parking lot with steel looking walls and columns and lines of fluorescent lights all around. The stage looked like it was raised about 1 ft. and a sub-floor had been put down. There was also a screen in front of the stage. I ended up in the standing section: middle of the 4th row.
The boys came out and they looked so amazing! Yunho wore a red suit while Changmin wore blue. Both suits had gold filigree that looked like abstract fireworks on the legs and jacket. They went up on stage and stood on a pop-up platform that lowered them down. When it reached the bottom, they had to kneel down and wait for their cue.
The screen projection was so cool. It started out with the Chinese TVXQ characters and played an instrumental of Catch Me in the background. In the video, Yunho was fire and Changmin was water (reminds me of their superpowers in “Why?”). Anyway, they dance and multiply themselves. It is really cool and really well done. I cannot imagine how long it took the boys to film all those movements with the different angles. At the end of the video, they fist touch like in the mv then the boys rise up out of the trap door in the stage. This is pretty much HoMin's only role in the intro.
This sounds really simple (and it is) and I’m sure all the staff assumed this would be a quick filming. However, it ended up taking no less than 23 takes. This is the most takes I’ve ever witnessed for any group. I tried to keep count, but honestly towards the end the takes sorta ran together. The failed takes were due mostly to the video projection and fans, not the boys.
After the first take, Yunho came over to monitor what had been filmed. It seemed like a good take, however someone in standing fist pumped the air and it was in the shot. The Inki PD yelled at us not to get anything in the shot. The 2nd take was due to the video freezing toward the end (Changmin was really shocked when they were asked to do it again). Then in the 3rd take someone raised their hand again and it was in the shot. This time we were really yelled at by the PD. Also, at the end of the video projection, a “time slot error” popped up on the screen. Yunho and Changmin both watched their performance playbacks very seriously.
Keep in mind that during all these failed takes due to video errors, HoMin had to stay crouched in the trapped door waiting for their turn to come out. The PD would sometimes walk over while they were sorting out the kinks and tell them that they could stand and stretch their legs, which Min did gladly. After the 6th take, the boys went backstage while the computers were restarted. They really seemed frustrated and I didn’t blame them. The fans were pretty frustrated, too.
When they came back out, everyone shouted encouraging things, like “Oppa, fighting!” or “Oppa, hang in there!” Min smiled and it was super cute.
Takes 7, 8, 9, and 10 were all failed takes due to the video freezing. Thankfully, this time the staff would immediately say cut as soon as they saw the video freeze up.
Takes 11 & 12 seemed like good takes, but they still wanted the boys to do more. I don’t know whether they were looking for 1 excellent take to play all the way through or whether they were filming different angles and needed a few good takes to splice together.
Take 13 was failed due to the video and Take 14 had a late pop-up from the boys. Again, they went down to monitor the playbacks and then went back on stage. Fans yelled out “Oppa, fighting” and Yunho smiled.
Then they played back the video projection while the boys were on stage. It kinda looked cool with that dual image of them on the screen and behind the screen. Then they went down the trap door again.
Take 15, 16, & 17 were due to the video freezing up.
Take 18 was a good take then the boys went backstage. They come back out and Yunho had a mic. He gave us a long speech asking us if we were having fun, thanking us for being there, how wonderful Cassies are, etc. Then he said something about Yunho fans and Changmin fans and I didn't understand that part. He also thanked the staff for all their hard work. Then he hands the mic to Min and he pretty much says “Yeah, Yunho pretty much said everything that I want to say. Thank you.” Extremely short-winded, our Changmin.I was both exasperated and amused. There were lots of Changmin fans who screamed for him and Yunho was nodding when it happened.
Take 19 was also good. Yunho clapped his hands as if he knew that was a good take. Then they both went to the monitor to watch their playbacks.
Takes 20, 21, 22, & 23 were just of the ending part where the staff blows smoke around and the boys rise out of the trap door.
Finally, the staff signaled the OK! and the boys went out the emergency exit. We went into the studio around 11:25 am and we left around 1:10 pm. We were filed out and brought to the elevator. As we passed the stairwell doors, we saw Yunho going into the dressing / break room.
There wasn’t much fan interaction because the boys were so focused on getting this done and they were crouched under the stage for most of it.
After the intro, we joined the other fans who had already come back. We then sat outside and practiced the Catch Me fan chant. The Catch Me prerecording should have started at 1 pm, but we all knew that wasn’t going to happen because the filming schedule was already behind. Staff eunnie told us that she didn’t know exactly when we were going to go in but that we’re on standby. So, in the meantime all the SM Supporters went around and helped us practice the fan chant. We did this from 1:15 until 2:25 pm. We lined up and went inside the building at 2:25 but we didn’t go in the studio until 2:45. The staff all gave us slogans to hold. CATCH ME (9 takes)
The set was pretty much the same as the intro except they suspended half of the columns. I somehow ended up in 2nd row standing along the security rope on the right. So, I was pretty much facing the emergency exit door that HoMin and the dancers used to go from their break room to the stage. The boys had done a practice run before hand because the camera crew were running a playback of it and they were going over it and coordinating camera angles.
The emergency exit door opened and I could see one of the cordi-noonas sewing one of the dancers outfits. The boys came out and they were so handsome. I thought their suits were blue from the playback, but they were more purple than blue. They also had the light up armbands ala the MV.
Once everyone was on stage, Yunho rallied everyone together and he gave everyone a pep-talk. Yunho is such a cool, charismatic guy. Then they did the "동방신기 파이팅!" TVXQ fighting! on stage.
There were some fans screaming in the seating section and I think the choreographer, Tony Testa, may have been there. Not sure, though.
I was there for about 4 takes. If there was any doubt, this is a HARD DANCE! All the dancers DIED after each take. Halfway through the song, during the dance break, sideways-leg-waddle step, you could tell that they were using every scrap of energy they had. Each take was great and wonderful and I lost my head screaming so much.
After the 1st take, the boys immediately left the stage for the break room. Changmin had his dying face on (the one he makes during concerts when he's really winded and sweaty?) and Yunho met with a staff member who gave him a bottle of water which he immediately chugged.
They came out for the 2nd take. I felt bad for the two dancers in the front. They were down on all fours with one of their arms raised back. It seemed like their backs were hurting them from staying in this position. After the take, everyone was so tired. Changmin power-walked offstage. Yunho patted the dancers' backs who were sitting on the stage trying to catch their breath. As they were heading off stage, he wrapped his arm around the waist of one of the dancers and they went down the stairs together. Even though he was so tired, Yunho still looked at us and waved halfheartedly to the audience.
For the third take, everyone was screaming "Fighting!" for the boys. This take was particularly fantastic. Everyone was in sync and perfect. However, during the last gorilla stomp when they were kneeling on the floor, they got these really determined looks on their face like they were summoning the last dregs of their energy. I was starting to get really worried for the boys. Changmin seemed to have jelly legs after that take and he almost tripped going down the stairs. Yunho went straight backstage.
For the fourth take, the crowd chanted "Hang in there!" to the boys when they came out. Changmin did a fist pump in the air. Our Yunho-fan section in standing all shouted "Yunho fighting" and he gave us a thumbs up. The dancers really had a hard time. Yunho helped them up and patted them on the back. He put his arms around 2 of the dancers and helped them down the stairs off stage.
SBS apparently didn't want standing for the next two takes, so just the standing people were kicked out into the hall around 4:15. =((((
While outside, we saw HoMin's bodyguard, manager, and staff come back from the 7-11 with tons of water for the boys and dancers.
After two takes, we were sent back in. HoMin had changed their outfits. Now, they were wearing brown suits with sparkly brown sequins. Instead of the LED lights, their armbands were made out of metallic gold material. I don't know if they are prerecording for the 2nd inkigayo or what, but there was a wardrobe change.
This is my 5th take, but the 7th take for the boys. When he came back on stage, Yunho bowed to the audience. After this take, 4 dancers sat on the stage while the sweat dripped from their faces. Yunho was off the stage quickly with a big smile. He waved to the audience before going to the break room.
While the Inki PD was walking around doing his thing, he was softly singing Catch Me. It was really cute!
8th take: When the boys came back out, there were big cheers for Changmin and he had an embarrassed smile on his face. Yunho was really sweet and smiled at the girl in front of me. ^^
This take proved that the entire standing section was full of pervy mc-pervs when we all freaked out when we saw the boys boxers. kekeke~ Changmin has red & blue boxers and it looked like Yunho had a brand like Tommy Hilfiger or Calvin Klein.
This was another good take. The staff eunnie came over and told us when the boys come back out to do "1, 2, 3, TVXQ Fighting!"
9th take : This was the last take. Changmin came out on stage first and held up one finger, telling us we were going to do one more take.
At the end, they were given mics. They were both breathing really heavily and neither wanted to be the first to give the speech. They kept gesturing back and forth to each other. I think Yunho realized pretty quick that Changmin definitely wouldn't start first.
Yunho thanked all the Cassies for coming and to continue to support TVXQ. He said that Catch Me was a really hard stage and that Cassies gave them the strength to do all the many takes. He said that Cassies were the best! He also thanked the staff for their hard work through the filming.
Changmin lifted the mic to his mouth and the entire seating section erupts in screams.
Then Changmin says "SHUT UP!" This just makes the fans scream more. Oh, Changmin. Why do we crave your snark?
He pretty much repeated everything Yunho said and how thankful he was to the fans and staff. Then he ended with "I like you all."
Fans: KYAAAAAA~! *o*
I DON'T KNOW (3 takes with 2 false starts due to set issues)
So, we finally go out of the studio around 6 pm. The staff told us that if we wanted to stay for the "I Don't Know" prerecording we needed to be back at 8:30 pm for check in, but that the recording will probably last until midnight.
So, I get there at 8:30 pm and the staff announced that the prerecording will start around 10 pm. It was delayed until midnight due to issues with the set design (this is my assumption). We were brought into the SBS building around 9:30 but we pretty much sat in our lines until midnight when we were allowed in the studio.
The SM fan staff brought us energy drinks and chocopies around 11:30 pm to help us last through the night! That was really nice of them. ^.^ Also, SBS provided buses for fans who live further away (Bucheon, Songpa, Nowon, Seocho, etc.) This is actually not uncommon. Shows like Star King and Strong Heart film two episodes in one day, so sometimes this can run quite long. If the recordings run after the trains stop, usually they'll provide buses for the audience to get home, unless you live relatively close and can take a taxi.
When we were all inside the studio, the PD came on stage with a mic and said, "Cassieopia, Annyonghaseyo!" He repeated what the staff eunnie told us about the buses and we all cheered our thanks. He appreciated that we came to support despite the long hours.
The set was amazing! It was like a rusted, industrial steel tunnel with swinging sapphire pendulums in the back. The set was amazing and I can see how going from the Catch Me set to this set was a challenge. I'm pretty sure the set was the reason behind the extreme delay of this recording.
The dancers came out in black suit jackets and white/black patterned pants. Yunho looked really hot with his hair straightened, a black jacket over a white dress shirt, and a ruby broach. Min wore a white/black vertical striped jacket, a silk print shirt underneath, and white pants.
Again, HoMin were given mics to address the fans. Yunho said, "Ah, I'm going crazy" in his jeollado accent. The crowd went wild.
Min thanked us for being there and apologized for having us stay so late. The Cassies all said "It's okay!" Changmin got the cutest wide-eyed "innocent" look on his face and said, "Ah. Really?" (Ah. Kurae-oh?) SO CUTE!
First they do a run-through, so they didn't dance their full strength. There's a really adorable part in the I Don't Know dance where Changmin high-fives the dancer with red hair.
One of the dancers stepped on the broken stage where the wood sags and gives under pressure. He had a shocked look on his face and looked at Yunho. Yunho seemed really unhappy about the stage being broken and not fixed.
After a short break with the cameramen coordinating the camera angles, Yunho rallies everyone together on stage to motivate everyone and then they do the "동방신기 파이팅!" TVXQ Fighting!
Everyone gets into position for the real take. I never noticed before but Changmin does lots of vocal exercises: saying mum-mum-mum-mum-mum, stretching his tongue and jaw, etc.
The pendulums started to swing behind them and they were all fascinated. They kept looking back at them. All of a sudden, we all heard a loud crack when the two pendulums accidentally collided. HoMin and the dancers jumped back and everyone was surprised. Part of the metalwork on the pendulum broke and needed to be reattached.
Yunho looked at us was like "Ah! They've got to fix that." They all moved to sit on the stairs while they waited for the SBS staff to fix the problem.
Take 1: The boys come back on stage and Changmin starts doing waist twists. The PD calls standby which means everyone needs to be quiet and one of the dancers starts coughing, which makes Changmin giggle. ADORABLE~
So, they danced all out for this take. Every time I see this dance performed live, it reminds me that Yunho is a damn good dancer. He is sharp, precise, and his body matches his facial expressions perfectly. Yunho has the BEST facial expressions during this song. He is really charismatic and I cannot stop watching him during this number. Also, Changmin has really improved in matching Yunho and the other dancers. I was really impressed with him. Although he may not have Yunho's sharp precision, he makes up for it with his musicality. He grooves with the music and it adds to his dancing.
After this take, the boys were walking to the right of the stage and I yelled out, "Yunho-oppa! Sexy!" Everyone in standing turned to look at me and laugh. ^.^
During the break, Changmin was sitting a little off by himself, head cocked to one side, staring off into space. Maybe he was thinking about something or trying to reserve his energy.
Yunho sat on the steps talking to one of the dancers. After a few minutes, they were called back to the stage for another take.
Changmin went his position and started doing vocal exercises and stretching his mouth. Then the pendulums break again. >.< The Inki PD was really not having a good night. The entire staff just wanted to finish and go home, like everyone else. The PD said don't worry about it and just go through with the take.
Take 2: This was an okay take. Everyone wasn't in sync with each other. It could be due to the pendulums crashing that broke their concentration and it was hard to get back into the dance.
They went to the break room for a bit and then came back for the last take.
Take 3: Yunho really went all out on this take. It was a perfect take. =)
The PD ok'ed it and the boys waved to us as they left the stage. Then we all left the studio and went home. All the buses were outside ready to take people home.
So, if you count from the 6 am check-in to when we all went home at 1:30
am, it was a 19 hour recording, including breaks and wait-time.

Seeing the boys was AMAZING and after so long. I lost my voice screaming for them and at them. Even though it was long and I have to wake up in 6 hours for work, it was all worth it. ^.^
